Well we have changed the name of our blog. We will still update on what Madison is up to, but we felt that with our newest addition coming in January we should just keep a blog for the whole family instead of doing 2 blogs! Yep you read that right, Madison will be a big sister late January! We don't think that she understands too much about it but she does keep saying she is going to have a brother when we ask her. I am about 15 weeks along, and am so glad the 1st trimester is over with. Poor Madison watched alot of Disney shows during June and the beginning of July. We have had an exciting summer, not just finding out about the new baby. We are all finally settled in to the house. We have picked lots of strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries at the local farm. Also, her speech has exploded. She is starting to put several words together. Her favorite food right now is brocolli, popcorn (aka pop pop), and watermelon. She has finally out grown her high chair. She has been refusing to sit in it to eat for a while now, so this week we went and got her a booster seat to sit at the table with us. She loves it! she likes to carry it around the house and randomly sit in it. She has been in a big girl bed for 2 months now and we have only had one problem with her getting out of it, and even then we didn't know until we went in to get her and she had her pillow on the floor and went to sleep there. We have tried potty training, but she just screams while she sits on the toliet, so we haven't been pushing it. I just took her down to florida for one last trip to the beach last week before preschool starts in the fall. She had a good time, she liked to walk in the water on the quietwater side. The jellyfish were to active to go look for seashells on the gulf side. She is still our little water baby, but is very picky about it. She won't go under the water in the pool or run straight through the sprinkler. She just likes to float and prefers to run all the way around the sprinkler. She has started to develop her own unique personality. She is an outdoor kid, loves to be outside as much as she can. Madison will start preschool after Labor Day 2 times a week at the local church. It will be a good chance for her to enjoy some interaction with other kids and not just me all the time. Alan's job is going good! He just got hired on as an employee with the company he had been contracting for the past 3 months. Now we are looking forward to her 2nd birthday on the 15th. Most of the family is coming up to celebrate that weekend and then in October we are headed to Disney World with my Mom and Dad. Below are some pictures from the summer! Enjoy!
