So I am going to do this update by person!
House Update:
The house is coming along real well. It is almost complete. The landscaping is done, cabinets are in, flooring is down and appliances are ready to go in. We are still looking to close May 15th. We can't wait, we are so looking forward to getting more space. The one thing that we are dreading is the packing and moving part. It seems like we just did this not too long ago!
Luke Update:
Luke has been growing like a weed. He is already in his 6 month clothes. He still doesn't nap much during the day. Some days he does really well and takes 2 naps a day, but most days I can only get him to nap in the morning. He is getting better about sleeping at night. We are only up atleast once a night. He is starting to roll over. He is gets half way there and gets frustrated. Just the other day he was so frustrated that Madison got on the couch and started jumping up and down shaking her maracas encouraging him to roll over. It was the cutest thing! I took Luke on Monday to get his 3 month pictures and hope to have some back by next week to post. He didn't want to corporate to well so we didn't get many pictures. Luke was dedicated at church this past Sunday. It was an amazing ceremony as a parent to be able to participate in! We had a bbq back at the house for him and got to spend time with family and the Pace's!
Madison update:
Just before she started spring break her class had an Easter Egg hunt at preschool. It was cool to see all of them go looking for eggs. I think most of the parents had to point them out to the kids, but they all ended up with a bunch of goodies! Madison was off from school the 2nd week of April, so we worked on potty training her. That was the absolutly most miserable thing to do as a parent. She resisted on every level, but finally by Wednesday I felt we had made progress. She is doing better, she is good about peeing on the potty but not pooping. We have gradually graduated to being able to wear underwear around the house. So after spending most of the week couped up in the house we headed to Florida for Easter. Madison and Luke got to spend time with everyone down in Florida and were spoiled rotten. She absolutely loves spending time with winston and riley. She even likes to tell Riley to go to time out when she has been bad. Thursday when we got there she spent the afternoon and night with alan's mom and I am sure she had a good time bossing Kari around. When we got there to pick her up on Friday morning she was running around high on sugar from the cookies she was helping make. I think she ate more cookie dough than actual cooked cookies. Easter Sunday we headed out to church and she had a good time at MiMi's church. The rest of the day was spent trying to keep her out of the pool. We had many tea parties out by the pool. Hopefully the next time we are down the pool will be warmer so we can go swimming. When we got back she headed back to school, but didn't have to wait too long for more family to visit. Alan's mom, David, and Jessica came to visit for Luke's Baby Dedication the next weekend. She had a blast with all of them here. That saturday we went and picked strawberries at Adam's Farm. She did so much better than last year. She only put her thumb through a few strawberries this time. That monday wasn't a good day for her though, she got sick from so much sugar and strawberries on sunday. This past week she got to take Daddy to preschool and have donuts with him. She showed him around her classroom and played with toys with him. She even made him a magnet picture frame of her for him to take to work. She is growing quickly. She is expanding her vocabulary each day, and loves to love on her baby brother!
At Luke's dedication!
Easter Egg Hunting!
Alan and Melissa Update:
We have been staying busy with the kids and keeping a watch on the progress of the house. My days have been busy with the kids and with the warm up we are hoping to get to spend more time outside at the local parks. Alan has been staying busy at work and is getting more and more responsiblities.
I am going to post as many pictures as I can so everyone can see the progress on the house and the growth of the kids, enjoy!
