Well, it has only taken me 2 days to get all these photos uploaded from this past weekend. Blogger has been slow in loading photos. So, alot has happened since my last post, so bare with me if this goes long. We headed down to Florida last Thursday after Madison got out of school and came back on Monday. We had a jammed pack weekend! We went down for Alan's brother, David, wedding. So, the kids and I stayed with my mom and enjoyed alot of MiMi time! Which Madison was dying for. Plus she was desperate to see the dogs, Winston and Riley. From Thursday night to Sunday Madison wore her new swim suit and kept trying to get in the pool. It wouldn't have been so bad, but the water was so cold that she wasn't allowed in. But she did sit on the top step of the pool for most of the weekend. On Friday, we headed to MiMi's work to get my teeth cleaned and some fillings filled. While I was getting my teeth cleaned she was insistant that she was next in the chair. We didn't think she would actually sit, but she did and she got her teeth cleaned. The last time we were there she screamed the entire time I got my teeth cleaned. They said she did better than some older kids do at the dentist. Sorry there are no pictures for the dentist visit, my mom had her camera with her and I didn't get the photos off her camera before we left. Saturday we spent the day at the house. It was a busy morning keeping up with 2 kids. Luke slept great the night before but wasn't eating that morning, so we decided to hang out at the house and let the kids nap before we headed out to the wedding reception. We showed up to the reception and Madison just danced the night away. I think she danced for 3 hours straight, with a few stops to go down to the beach. Sorry no pictures from the reception either. I managed to leave the camera at the house. With getting everyone ready and trying to get out the door I left the camera on the counter. On Sunday we headed to the beach. She was determined to go to the beach. For the past month she has been reading a book every night at bedtime about the beach. So, there was no way we were going to get away without getting to the beach. It was a bit chilly for me at the beach with the wind, but that didn't affect her. She collected seashells and then hit the water. The water was still cold, but tollerable. The surf was a bit rough so she didn't go to far in, but she was determined to go swimming, and she did! After the beach we headed to McGuire's for lunch. We had pushed our limits with Madison and I didn't think we were going to make it through lunch. But thanks to the creativity of the waitress we did! Luke made the trip out to the beach also, but didn't like it when I took the blanket off of him. That wind was hitting him hard and it was cold! He did manage to sleep through his 1st trip to McGuire's! Overall it was a great trip and the kids enjoyed their time with MiMi and the dogs! Madison is still talking about the dogs and wanting MiMi to give her a bath at night! We should be back down next month so she doesn't have to wait too long to get her next MiMi fix. Hopefully next time the water will be warmer!
Luke headed to the doctor today for his 2 month check up and 1st round of shots. He now weighs 13 lbs 1.5 oz. and is 23 inches long. He ranks in the 90th percentile in weight and 50th percentile in length. He is the total opposite of Madison at this age. He is a BIG boy! He is now able to wear some of his 6 month clothes, I can't believe how big he is getting and he is only 2 months old. They did measure his head and it ranked in the 10th percentile. Which is right along with his sister at this age. They were always concerened about Madison's little head. They did confirm that he is colic, which there isn't too much we can do about it except wait it out and that it is probably on the down side and should fade by 4 months. He got 3 shots and had 1 oral medication. He was a trooper and didn't scream so bad for his shots, but didn't nap much the rest of the day. I was hoping he would take after his sister and be a good napper after getting shots, but I guess not! He is getting better about sleeping at night. He had been flirting with going between 4-6 hours at a time before we left for Florida. While we were in Florida he slept through the night for the 1st time and then the next night he slept a good 9 hours before he got up the 1st time. We are hoping that this is going to become a habit. It would be great to start getting more sleep at night! We are now looking forward to his baby dedication at church in late April.
House update: We had some friends go in and add extra insulation while we were in Florida. So now we are waiting on the workers to go in and add sheet rock. All of the windows are in place and all exterior walls have been insulated.
Below are some pictures for this past weekend! Enjoy!
