Madison 3 year check up!

Just got back from the doctor with both of the kids for Madison's 3 year check up. As expected she didn't gain much weight. She is now up to 28.2 lbs which is in the 25th percentile and is 38 inches tall, which they didn't tell me what percentile that was except that she is very tall for her age! So, she is gaining weight and height like normal!!! This was the 1st time that she had her blood pressure taken and she was a good sport about it. The nurse told her everything she was going to do before she did it and Madison followed instructions pretty good. She did get a talking to by the doctor about not pooping in the potty and it looks like we are going to take a different approach with her on pooping. I think this weekend we are going to make a prize box and put it up for only when she poops and then take away big girl privelages if she poops in her pants. Hopefully this approach will work!!! And he suggested we capitalize on her love of mickey mouse, since that is all she talked about to the doctor was her up coming trip to disney world. In the end Luke got his 1st part of the flu shot and Madison got 2 shots. Madison was so excited to go to the doctor this morning. She had been telling me that it was her turn to go and I explained everything that they were going to do, even getting a shot, and she was still so happy to go. Then the 1st shot came and she didn't like it even after the cool bandaids she got she still wasn't happy and on the way out of the office she said "i don't like doctor!" I am sure this will change the next time Luke goes for a check up and she doesn't get anything! So, now we are back home Luke is napping and she is asking to be carried around the house because she won't stand on her leg because that is where she got the shot!! This could be a long day for me having to cart these 2 kids around the house all day long!
