Disney World Vacation!

We are back from our vacation to Disney World and we all had a good time. Madison did better than we thought, and was great at all the parks! We started out on Thursday and drove down to Orlando. She watched videos in the car most of the time and didn't take a nap in the car. When we got down there we checked into the All-Star Sports Resort and then headed off to downtown Disney for dinner. She slept great in the bed in our room and didn't take too long to go down for bed. Once she was out she was out, there was no waking her up! At downtown Disney!

Our 1st day at the park was on Friday, we went to Animal Kingdom that morning! This was by far one of our favorite parks. She had a blast with all the animals. We got there just in time to catch the opening of the park festivities. She went crazy on my dad's shoulders when she saw the characters. She was eating some goldfish and lost all of them out of her mouth in excitement and lost them on top of the my dad's head! After the park opened we headed to the sarafi ride and the walking tour of the animals. While waiting for the safari ride we were doing the walking tour of the animals and the Year of a Millions Dreams Team stopped us and gave us fast passes to most of the big rides in the parks. She loved seeing all the animals on the safari! After the safari we headed over to Rafiki's area where she met Pocohontas and got to pet some goats at the petting zoo. She chased them around, but never touched one!

On the Safari Ride!

At the Petting Zoo!
Later that day, after a short nap back at the hotel, we headed off to Epcot. Our visit to Epcot was cut short due to a late afternoon rain storm. But, while we were there we got a couple of things done. She got to meet some characters and we did the nemo ride and talking with crush. The crush show was hillarious, but was geared more towards older kids.

Meeting Mickey!

Meeting Minnie!

Saturday morning was an early morning for everyone. We headed off to Hollywood Studios for the early magical hour. We got to get into the park an hour early that morning. This was probably our worst day of the whole trip. She did not do well with having to get up early and that spelled for a disasterious morning. We did the Disney Playhouse live on stage show. She loved it! She about jumped several rows up to get at the characters on stage. She got to see all her favorites from little einsteins, pooh, handy manny and mickey mouse playhouse. After the show we headed over to Alan's favorite area, Star Wars. They all rode the star wars ride while madison and I shopped. After that we all ate lunch at the 50's Prime Time Diner. Then it was back to the hotel for a much needed nap. That evening we stayed at the hotel and did downtown disney again for dinner.

At Hollywood Studios!

Watching Mickey Mouse Playhouse with Daddy!

Sunday morning we headed off to the Magic Kingdom. This was a big day for us! There were alot more rides that she could do and we were having lunch with Pooh at the Crystal Palace. We got there just in time to see Mickey and his friends open up the park. It was all decorated for Halloween, with pumpkins everywhere. Once in the park we were off to Fantasyland to do some rides. She got to do the tea cups, pooh, the carousel and it's a small world. She loved the tea cups. We did most of the rides twice while the lines were short. She is definitly going to be my roller coaster girl when she gets older (unlinke her daddy!). While in Fantasyland we got to meet with Tigger and Pooh. She still didn't want to give them hugs, but in line while waiting she kept saying she was going to give them hugs. She did so good while we waited in lines for rides or character meetings. She did much better than some of the older kids in front of us. After all our rides we caught the tail end of a show in front of the castle and then it was off to lunch with Pooh and his friends. This was the best part of the whole day, just to see the excitment on her face when Pooh, Tigger, Eeoyre, and Piglet came by to meet her. I don't think she ate too much at lunch, she was too busy waving at them at the other tables to get them to come back to her table. After a very filling lunch we headed over to the aladdin ride and then off to ride the train over to Toon Town to visit Mickey and Minnie's house. After that we were exhausted and it was hot! Our hottest day yet, so we headed back to main street to do the parade. She loved the parade, she spent the whole time waving at everyone as they came by. After the parade we headed back to the hotel to rest and shower. That evening we went to downtown disney to do some shopping at eat dinner. We weren't even in the car 5 minutes when I thought she was being quiet and when I looked back she was passed out. She was so out of it that she slept on alan's shoulder for a good 20 minutes once we got out of the car at downtown disney. She had a long day, but was so good! After downtown disney we headed back to the hotel for a night swim. She had been dying to go in the pool. Everytime we had to go to the bus we would pass the pool and she so wanted to go in. So I took her in the pool, they had some life vests to use and she would swim on her own after a while. I needed one of these all summer long! She did great at kicking to keep herself right side up.

Waiting for the park to open!

She loved the tea cups!

We got to ride twice!

On the Train to Toon Town to visit Mickey and Minnie's Houses!

Sitting on Minnie's couch!

On Monday we headed over to the beach club resort to have breakfast with Minnie, Goofy and Donald Duck. She really didn't eat much for breakfast because of all the characters going from table to table. She finally hugged all the characters! I think by day 4 she was finally comfortable around all the characters. The best part of all was when Donald Duck came by she patted the chair and wanted him to sit down and eat with her!

Kisses for Goofy!

Hugs for Donald Duck!

She finally gave Minnie a hug!

Outside the beach club resort!

We ended up having a good trip back. She slept for a little bit and was pretty entertained with all her minnie stuff that she got. I think we have all finally recovered and have finally gotten caught up on all our laundry. All in all it was a good trip and we are looking forward to when we get to take Luke in 2 years! Madison did so much better than we thought she would do. Next time I think we will do 2 days at Magic Kingdom and 2 days at Animal Kingdom. There was so much more for her to do at these parks than at Hollywood Studios and Epcot. Enjoy the pictures!
